FFL INSTRUCTIONS

Instructions for orders containing FFL items. 

At Heyward Streams, we are dedicated to ensuring a compliant and efficient process for orders containing Federal Firearms License (FFL) items, such as pistols, rifles, suppressors, or frames. These items must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer in your state of residence. Below is a clear guide to help you navigate the process smoothly.

FFL Information Submission Process:

  1. Providing FFL Details at Checkout:
    • During checkout, you must provide the name and address of your chosen FFL dealer. Your FFL dealer is responsible for sending us a copy of their FFL license to proceed with your order.
  2. FFL Dealer Responsibilities:
    • Your FFL dealer must email a copy of their FFL license directly to heywardstreamscontact@gmail.com. To prevent processing delays, the email should include your order number in the subject line or body (e.g., “FFL for Order #12345”).
    • Important: We only accept FFL documentation through email. Information provided over the phone or by customers directly cannot be processed.
  3. Verify State Compliance:
    • Before placing your order, confirm with your FFL dealer that the item(s) you are purchasing are legal in your state and that they are willing to accept the transfer. In California, make sure that your product complies with California law. If an item is returned due to rejection by the FFL dealer, Heyward Streams will waive any restocking fees; however, you will be responsible for all shipping costs incurred.

Processing and Shipping Timeline:

  • Orders containing FFL items require additional verification and may take slightly longer than standard retail orders. Once we receive and verify your FFL dealer’s license, we typically ship within 1–2 business days. We appreciate your patience as we ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.

Tips to Avoid Delays:

  • Ensure your FFL dealer is aware of your order and prepared to send their FFL license promptly.
  • Provide your FFL dealer with your order number to include in their email to us.
  • Confirm with your FFL dealer that they can handle the transfer and that the item complies with local laws.
